Stay Puft - Peanut Butter

Bottle (4/19/22) pour. It's an inky opaque black with ring of off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted peanut--so roasted it's kind of ashy. Taste is strong roasted malt, marshmallow, peanut butter and milder graham. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, roastiness is overdone in aroma. Avoids being oversweet, which is nice.

#1691/2220, bottled 4/19/22, drunk 11/12/22. Maybe clear? Dark mahogany with a tan ring. More peanuty than salty. Boiled nuts isn't too far off. Not so much rich as it is just straight up peanuty. Almost dominates the nose, which is impressive. Don't get much stout or marshmallow, no alcohol. Peanut-heavy with an immediate bitterness. Super soft, sticky-creamy texture with great attenuation. Wow, this is not sugary whatsoever. Only light stout notes, with dark chocolate and mild roastiness. Good peanut character, no marshmallow. If it weren't for this weird, astringent bitterness, this would be one of their best non-BA beers.

1692/2220 4/19/22 aroma is boiled peanuts, chocolate, charred marshmallow. Taste is peanut and chocolate with a lingering bitterness.

Flaska från USA. 2022, 12%, marshmallow fluff + peanuts. Svart med brun krona. Doftar rejält av jordnötter, nästan en aning härskna, och med den bruna hinnan innanför skalen kvar. Smaken följer någorlunda. Ganska skarp stout i botten. Jordnötterna kommer fram lite som en Lion bar, med crunch och kolasås. Helt ok, men blir kanske lite väl intensivt med jordnötterna.

Poured from 500 ml bottle with 993/1800 count, dated 3/21/2017 thanks Chris DeMont dark black brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasted peanuts chocolate grains. Taste is interesting with a lingering bitter finish. Not what I was expecting.

500 ml bottle with 993/1800 count, dated 3/21/2017. Nice aroma of light nuts, peanuts, chocolate, and ash. Flavor would be great if it was barrel aged. It does have a raw peanut flavor. Would never actually say “peanut butter”.

Bottle thanks to Phil. Huge gusher, Pours black with large tan head. The aroma is strong roast, bourbon, oak, peanuts, cocoa. Thick body, chewy roast, dark chocolate, oak, peanut butter, marshmallow, boozy finish, very good.
