Bottle. dark ruby to brown colour. Moderate off-white head. The aroma is cherry syrup, cherry stone. That’s it. Medium body. Medium sweet taste with notable fruit tartness along. Rather tasty as a fruit beer. No relation to sour.

Barwa ciemnorubinowa, piana różowa, dość obfita, całkiem trwała, z niezłym nawet lacingiem. W aromacie dominacja wiśni, lekko nuty czerwonego wina.

750mL bottle drunk 12/10/16.
Clear amber-magenta body is topped by a beige/pink-tinged head, initially large and receding slowly to cover.
Cherry acids sit lightly atop moderate caramel and some slight saccharine-like sweetness. Moderate Belgian esters and definite acetic character with a hint of the wonderful aged pale. A little bit of metal and more caramel lingering.
Sweet and sticky in the mouth, the acids helping to mitigate some of this and a slightly medicinal, somewhat peppery finish with a moderate tartness. There are certainly some good things going on here, mostly due to the aged pale portion, I’d imagine plus there does seem to be some authentic cherry character, despite there also being lots of saccharine/powdered sugar and light fruit syrup. So a bit of a mixed bag, and kind of sweet, despite some sourness to mitigate it. It’s obviously meant to appeal to a wider, non-beer geek audience, which is fine.

Won at Ghent Beer Society's Beer Quiz.
Pours hazy dark brown with a red hue and a frothy, tan head. The aroma contains sweet & sour cherry, wood, a hint of vinegar, marzipan and yeast. It tastes medium fruity sour and medium fruity/sugary sweet; very light sour, malty finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice, smooth variation on the regular Petrus Ales and less 'aggressive' than other 'Oud Bruins'. (Edited 14/12/2017)

Stadin panimobaari oak aged tasting. From bottle. Dark brown color with a thin white head. Marzipan, ripe cherries in aroma, intense. Sweet cherries, almonds, sweetness. Long finish with hints if wood but mostly cherries and marzipan. Great stuff.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a dark ruddy red to almost brown color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Concaves nicely around the sides to bubbles. Mild messy lace.
The aroma starts off with a nice sweet and tart black and red cherries. Sourness is quite tame. Malts seem sour and sweet in this one.
The flavor leans sweet initially and then opens up into some sour and tart cherry. Sweet cherry fruity aftertaste roping the finish in with a little bit of stickiness.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low carbonation yields an ample amount of balance between the stickiness and soft tartness.
Overall, almost a straight up fruit beer, perhaps with a hell of a lot of tart to sweet cherries rolling all about. Definitely would be a stellar go to for Summer evening dessert.
