Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is oak, dark fruit, and vinegar. Thin mouthfeel with strong cherry skin, vinegar, and oak. Very sour, decent.

Sample at First Sunday, brought by heyta. Pours dark, with a minimal, tan head. The aroma is sour cherries, chocolate, and toffee. Very sour flavor up front, and very well balanced with lots of malty sweetness. Medium body, acidic, and a little clingy. Reminds me of cordial cherries. Very flavorful, and a nice, subtle aroma.

Bottle. Deep opaque brown body, thin light beige head. Nose of acetaldehyde/vinegar; sour and leathery with maple, sugars, vinaigrette, and alcohol. Vinegary body, lots of leathery sugars and dark fruits- grape, etc. Not exhibiting much in the way of porter characteristics, this beer is odd and sour and frankly unpleasant.

750ml bottle. First batch. Pours a watery, translucent black with some clumpy, white head. Nose is infected. My buddy described the nose as, "Oh shit." Meaning, when you open a bottle and it smells like this, you know you got an infected bottle. Nose has some nail polish, chocolate, malt, brown sugar. Flavor is also infected, licorice and lemon juice, soured coffee that sat out for a while, grapefruit pulp. Tart, bracing finish.
