Keg at Craft. Black with a creamy golden beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, very smoky, bit of bacon and something sweet in there too, maybe honey. Taste is smoky, bitter, small touch of coffee, bit of wood and some brown bread. Oily and thick in the mouth. Slight bitter finish with a slight boozy glow and fading smokiness. Quite a warmer in spite of it only being 6.2%. Nice.

Draft at the Beer Trmple. Black pour with massive brown head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, malt and coffee. Flavour of dark chocolate, roasted malts and a little dark fruit. Medium to low carbonation and medium body. Very good considering the low ABV for the style.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120222) The beer poured pitch black. Its head was huge and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, liquorice, coffee and hops. Palate was medium bodied and soft with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, burnt malts, ash, hops, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, burnt and bitter. A soft and dry stout with long lasting and quite harsh but still pleasant taste.

Pours pitch black with a massive smooth brown head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, malts and salmiakki. Taste is "wet", salty and roasty with a lot of licorice and notes of fruits, coffee and chocolate. Finish is salty with some roasted chocolate notes. Tasty, well balanced wet and salty stout.
