On tap at the Craft. Opaque black beer, little tan head. Smooth palate with some body, semi dry. Rich dark malt, slightly ashy. Very slight lacto. Crisp minerals. Trace of something plastic well buried. Hints of coffee and fruit. Finishes semi dry. Seems to be popular with the punters at the time of purchase. Can’t say I am that enamoured. It a somewhat skewed beer that doesn’t quite hand together.

Draught at Craft Beer Co., London. Very black, lively beige head. Heavily roast ywith full body and clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Hoppy greapfruit combines with licorice roastiness, all diluted by severe over carbonation. Long inky bitterness.

Keg at Craft Beer Co. It pours opaque black, with a thin tan head. The nose is smoke, leather, roasted malt and salted caramel. The taste is roasted malt, lingering smoke, treacle, tar, ash, burnt malt and salted caramel, with a dry-roasted finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Decent.
