With a light and crackly carbonation, a simple grain bill, expressive old-world yeast character and a conservative use of Grungeist and Saaz hops, Little Farmhouse is a traditional saison brewed with drinkability in mind.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: golden yellow color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave a good amount of spotty lace
Aroma: citrusy to floral hoppiness flowing into some farm/funky to earthy tones, subtle banana and coridander then clean biscuity malts
Flavor: blends the sweet to the spicy and a nice earthy vibe coming in for a great balance; mild aftertaste of the citrus/floral hoppiness with the coriander and crisp funkiness
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhere between being a sipper and being sessionable; some coriander abrasion along tongue; finishes citrusy/floral crisp with some sweet earthy tones
Overall: I like this saison, I would come back to.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Coriander and citrus aromas. Crisp with banana and bubblegum front to back. Medium length, dry overripe banana skin finish.

Can from my brother: pours pale gold with white head. Aroma is citrusy (lemony I suppose), yeasty, peppery. Taste is mostly dry, a but sweet, not bitter, spicy. Solid.

12 oz. bottle purchased at CBC, Waterbury. Pours a deep cloudy yellow with little lacing. Aroma is mild grapefruit with plenty of zesty Belgian yeast. The main flavor profile is the yeast. This is all about spicy peppery yeast.
Absolutely no hops in this brew. Dry texture with plenty of black pepper / spicy hints that lingering after the sip. Lean's more on the traditional side of the style with hops having no presence (which is a good thing). Overall, pretty nice example.
