Named after a famous local mountain – Schiehallion (pronounced ‘She-hal-i-on’) presented a huge challenge – creating a Pilsner the Czech would be proud of. Brewed with lager malt and Hersbrücker and Challenger hops. Fermented with a lager yeast.

Bottle. Clear orange with a white head. Low bead. Aroma is mainly lemon, but there’s oranges and a little clove as well. Taste has lots of citrus bitterness upfront, a tiny bit of light caramel, a little wheaty (?) sourness and a spicy bitter finish. Yes, dry and refreshing but not engaging. Unbalanced - the malt side is pretty vacant. Seems ashamed to be a lager. [2.9] Bottle. Very clean but slightly bready malt, lots of lemon and light spices. Refreshing.
