09/21/19 Bottle from a friend trapped in Jersey. Bottled Jan. 19, 2018. Consumed 9/18/19. Gifted somewhere in between. Ommegang anniversary glass. Slightly opaque amber brown, flimsy off-white head. Smells invitingly of lemon, black-tea & moderate herbals. More curious about the black tea. Taste is twangy lemon, Lipton tea, aged hops, crabby apples, rosewater. Crispy carbonation & a thin, tacky body. Tasty. Thank you.

(750ml bottle from the brewery, purchased in April) Pours basically clear amber with an average white head that fades to a stable ring. Aroma of dusty, earthy yeast, citrus peels, sweat, acidity, hay, a little Bretty barnyard. Flavour is tart, lead by lemony citrus, a touch of pith, gooseberry, dry grass, soft cereals, dried flowers, light hop bitterness. Dry finish, lingering lemony tartness. Medium bodied, fizzy effervescent carbonation. Interesting, the yeast drives things a bunch while the fruitiness is not as developed as in many wild saisons. Sometimes feels a little barrel-aged though I guess it is not.

Bottle from the brewery from a bit ago: Pours a dark murky orange with a nice white head. Aroma is yeasty and lightly citric; this has a great yeasty character. Taste is vaguely tart. Little bit sweet. Most of this is great yeast and fruity notes. Really nice. I like this is not sour.
