Our brewers developed this recipe for more than a year; playing around with yeast strains and hop combinations in search of a smooth, juicy offering that pleases palates. With VT IPA they found the perfect balance of tropical fruit and citrus flavors through a heavy dry-hopping of Citra and Amarillo hops, which give distinct tangerine, mango, pineapple and grapefruit character.
The juicy hop profile is complemented by the grist, which features a heavy hand of flaked oats and aromatic Munich malt to deliver a smooth mouthfeel and hazy appearance. What sets this beer apart --aside from the soft bitterness-- is the introduction of a new yeast strain that provides the beer with more neutral notes and juicy esters that enhance the hops.
Enjoy it fresh, enjoy it often.

Can from the local Market Basket. Aroma is pretty good; melon pulp, light citrus. Flavor was better then I was guessing. Melon, grassy, citrus with a very mild pine. Slight juice in the texture. Been awhile since I rated a Long Trail brew. Nice surprise.

Pours hazy gold with a thick white head. Aroma of dry malt. Taste has dry fruity notes, delicate grapefruit. Palate has lingering hop bite with fruity notes. Good. More a NEIPA.

12oz can at home. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a medium white head. Lovely tropical fruit and grapefruit aroma with a subtle complexity of bready sweet malts and some citrus. Flavour is mango, grapefruit, caramel, some slight bit of pineapple. Nice quick finish

Can at home in NH. Pours murky orange with a frothy, white head. Not bad, has some orange, tangerine, mellow rindy bitterness, crispy pale malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. More rindy citrus in the finish, nips of melon, rind, pine needles. Alright.

Pours hazy deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Mango and pineapple aromas. Soft with dusty garlic and onion upfront turning to dirty mango skin before the lasting pith finish.
