With a palate that is fresh, piercing and focused, complemented by soft malt overtones and pronounced citrus flavours. A strong focus of taut, lemony, grapefruit on the finish which is balanced by a dry bitterness.

Clear golden beer, creamy white head. Very bitter aroma. Taste is sweet, tart citrus. Aftertaste is a bit sickly sweet but it’s not bad.

Cask at the moon under water Watford jdw. Aroma is nice juicy fruit, lemon citrus, floral notes , earthy grains. Flavour is semi sweet, grains, some grain tannin, straw, lemon hop. Palate is soft and nice cask condition. Goes down very easily. Firm slightly grassy citrus bitterness. Xolid low boost.

Pale gold colour, slightly hazy, with a small white head. Fresh, fruity, peachy aroma. Some initial sweetness, a mellow malty biscuit taste and a nice bitter finish. Good.

Original rating 3.7 (19.05.2015) Re-rated 10.08.2018 Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 10th August 2018. Crystal clear gold with shallow white foam and scant lacing. Rich and intense grapefruit zest and juice aroma. Sophisticated grapefruit and bitter peel in-mouth with a fruity yet increasingly bitter finish. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body. Probably the best tasting beer I have drunk in a year. Beyond exquisite.
