With a palate that is fresh, piercing and focused, complemented by soft malt overtones and pronounced citrus flavours. A strong focus of taut, lemony, grapefruit on the finish which is balanced by a dry bitterness.

On cask at the Boathouse in Shrewsbury. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and a slight haze. Nose - big grapefruit and orange notes against a soft digestive biscuit base. Taste - more grapefruit and lemon pith on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yep it’s a citrus bomb.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2013. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is citrus fruit with some watery melon and malt. The palate is weak bitter with a weak bodied watery palate and nothing much in the finish. Given the name of the beer I expected more and this beer disappointed. There were plenty of weak flavours but nothing strong enough to define the beer and certainly no hops!

Cask @ Akkurat. Pours golden, hazy with a small white head. Notes of gooseberries, white grapes, grapefruit and honey. A bit dry in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. I’m really starting to like this Salopian brewery!
