Mango Jams is a Milkshake style DIPA brewed with Lactose and hopped with a healthy dose of Citra and Mosaic before being conditioned on just the right amount of Vanilla and fresh Mango Purée. Pouring this one into a glass reveals a super saturated orange liquid and fluffy white head. Upon tasting we get flavors and aromas of mango sorbet, sweet orange creamsicle, pink pineapple, and light citrus zest.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: semi-bright yellow-ed cardboard haziness with a semi-fluffy white frothy to bubbly head which popped and dissipated adequately then a rim of light foam glossed the top of the glass.
Aroma: some mango juice, orange juice, pineapple and a little bit of tangerine sweetness; slight danky undertone, then some vanilla/lactose sweetness gently slides in for a light balance
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a gentle sweet creamy fruited tone to a semi-juicy mango/pineapple/orangey vibrant hop sweetness; finishes fruited creamy toned and has a little bit of citrusy zest to it
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; some smoothness with an ever so slight edge of creaminess to it then a dusting of some hop bitterness assertiveness telling me this is an IPA
Overall: man, I can count on Brix City to do a "milkshake IPA" correctly! Of course I would come back to this! Only thing that had me wondering about this at all was that "semi-skeptical looking head" - hmmmmm, the bubbles, guys, the bubbles, eeeeeh, I wince just a wee bit about that.

Can, from Broadway Dive Bar, Manhattan NYC (Aug 2025). Poured cloudy lemon yellow with a foamy off-white head, citrus-mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter sharp mango-vanilla taste with citrus peel, and lactose, thin body, long finish. The vanilla-lactose combination is too dominant. I did not like the result at all.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy yellow. Mango, orange, coconut, pineapple, sweet. Nice soft body. Really nice.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of mango, cat piss, citrus peel, orange, passionfruit, bready malt. Pours murky orange with a one+ finger cream white head with great retention. Taste has a light pithy bitterness with light mango flavor, finishing dry. Vanilla is very faint—I had to search for it. Alcohol hidden very well. Slightly watery. Not bad, but a little underwhelming. Edit: I ought to know better by now to not finish a rating before letting it warm up a bit. It opened up significantly after warming in the glass, revealing a nice vanilla character. Score raised from 3.6 to 3.9.

Can from Beerdome. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, mango and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 220321

ABV: 8.0%. Murky - muddy matt medium orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, heavy hoppy - fruity, mango, fruity hops, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, mango, mango juice, tropical fruit, peel bitter, sweet fruit - vanilla sweet. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20201222]

Draft at Shepherd and Knucklehead. Fully hazy yellow color. Juicy mango, peach, orange creamsicle kind of thing. Really tasty, perhaps a touch too sweet, but so tasty you can forgive that.

Solid hop juice this one. Quite typical neipa stuff. The unusual thing was the vanilla profile. Otherwise solid tropical, some pine and citric hoppy. A mellow nice carbonation level and a balanced sweetness made it very easy and pleasant to drink. [On tap at Schouskjelleren in Oslo, Norway] Brewery #2033
