This is a special addition barrel aged version of our historic v.Vollenhoven& Co. Extra Stout. Aged on both Bourbon and Corenwyn barrels for 15 months and then blended together to give a classic barrel aged flavour with a Dutch twist.

Blik 33cl thuis. Corenwijn, koffie, eik, chocolade, roasted malts, zoethout, licht Bourbon, goed droog, bitters, zoeten, vrij boozy voor 7,1%. Corenwijn erg aanwezig. (1-9-2021).

Very full flavoured and complex for only 7.1%. The barrel aging is top notch. The perfect amount of smoke and wood while remaining highly drinkable. Porsiat and kater ams

33cl Blik van Poesiat & Kater. Zwart, beige kraag. Inkt, drop, verbrande mout, koffie, pure chocolade, jenever, hout, wat vanille, veel harde geuren en smaken maar ik hou daar wel van in een stout, al had iets meer zoet het bier geen kwaad gedaan. Goed om een BA stout te zien onder 8%. Lekker.

Sampled at Poesiat & Kater's 2019 Stout Fest. Black colour, light brown head. Aroma's: sourish, funky (brett?). Retronasal it's sweetish, sourish, some raost, juniper. Flavour is moderate sweet, moderate sour, funky. Medium bodied. Finishes funky sourish. Hard to imagine that this was the intended result.

Black with a small beige head. Aroma of Brett infection, oak, light vinegar, chocolate and coffee. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
