Tastes good. I'm oddly impressed by something that isn't so conplex.

Notes from January 2011 Sampled right after rating the unfiltered version. Same weiss glass, same plate of soggy cold dumplings staring me down. Clear, bright, pale golden hue. Couple inches of soapy meringue. Rings of blotchy lace. Smells of sweet anise, candied banana, dough, & mineral water. Taste is heavy with banana liquor & pear sweetness. Almost sharp. Wheat only plays a background role this time. Clove comes through with some force here, compared with the unfiltered. Minor yeast note. Odd tangy finish. Feel is much more dry then the regular hef. Carbonation, more prickly. Alcohol feels a bit less noticable because of the sweetness(or maybe I'm just a bit too far gone to notice). Body maintains some weight, however invisible. Drinkability is similar, but for different reasons. They contrast each other well.

Bottle at their beer garden. Another on the road of Michael Jackson's 500. Clear, deep gold with a tall head. Nose is rich malt, clove and light banana. Like. Weizen trending towards a helles. Flavor is estery cloves and banana, malty, crisper and drier than the hefe, not as sweet and less estery. Finishes dry. Good summer drink. I'm not such a fan of the style, but this was good.

50cl bottle from Jumbo supermarket in Stein, Netherlands.
F: medium, white, good retention.
C: gold, clear of course.
A: banana, clove, citrus, bready.
T: medium malty wheat base, banana, clove, citrus, bready, bit caramel, nice for the style, medium carbonation, enjoyable.

Thick foam around the rim. Even lace. Spicy malt flavor with a malt palate.

Bottle with code 7362 09:30:03, drunk 8/24/23. Clear bronze. Massive, white head showing good retention due to, I assume, lots of forced carbonation. Seltzery, clean, mineral-heavy nose with specks of unripe stone fruit flesh and strong cracker and biscuit from the wheat. Light pepper, pear, soggy honey and loose carbonation. But it's super clean and the malt flavor is lovely, despite the texture being so loose/watery. Delicate esters and phenols, per their yeast. It's a shame they don't still bottle condition this even after filtering, as it's a nice change of pace if you don't want as full and chewy a beer, but the forced carb really makes it a bummer.

In de tuin uit een fles. Helder geel bier, uitstekend wit schuim. Aroma met vleug banaan, idem in de smaak. Medium zoet. Prima weizen,.
