Bottle. Clear gold/yellow with a whiter than white foamy head. Aroma of lemons, tangerines, wheat, grains and hints of yeast and bananas. Taste is grainy and fruity with a little bit of spice and tartness. Medium to strong carbonation. Dry finish. Balanced alright. I don't really care for Kristallweizens but this one was quite refreshing and served it's purpose.

Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Sweet banana and cloves aroma - so far so good. Pale gold..creamy white head. Medium bitter. There is the sweetness you'd expect from a weizen but the sharp acidic bitterness is the fore. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Not too bad. Has a kinda champagne thing going on in terms of palate. Not overly acidic like the last actual Kristallweizen I had pre RB (ignoring the crappy faux English attempt I've rated previously). However I'd prefer a standard hefe.

Gezapft Im Weihenstephan in Berlin. Goldener klarer Körper, etwas Kohlensäure. Schöne kleinporige Schaumkrone (Fingerbreit). Aroma: Banane, vergorener Apfel, Birne, Zitrone. Geschmack: Banane, Hefe, Brot, etwas Zitrone. Keine Bitterkeit, wenig Süße. Im Mittelteil saurer, im Nachgang setzt sich Banane durch. Später bleibt die Birne im Gaumen... Cremiger, vollmundiger Antrunk.

Bottle at home from Laithwaite. A lively pour with a massive pillowy and very creamy head. There was a strong nose of yeast and a bit of welcome banana. The taste was light banana and a massive hit of sweetness that was a complete and rather unwelcome surprise. The mouthfeel was creamy and gorgeous, but that huge sweetness wrecked the whole thing for me. I was however watching The Pink Panther Strikes Again and that more than made up for this beer.

From a 500ml bottle on 1/4/2018. Pours a clear light golden with a small head. Has a pleasant typical wiessbier nose, with a fair bit of clove and banana. The taste follows suit - quite sweet, but well balanced, finishing with a very mild spicy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. A very pleasant quaffer.

500 ml bottle. Clear pale golden, big foamy head. Banana, clove, citrus, estery notes. Dry bitterness, some acidic sourness. Lively carbonated, medoum bodied, creamy to watery texture, dry finish, very smooth. Refreshing and crisp. Very nice!

Tap at Sidedoor. Pretty banana forward, more so than I remember the bottle being. Filtered orange-tan body. Clean, bright, bold, delicious German quality beer. Deeper yeast tone, really nails it compared to most brewpub examples I’ve had. A classic, fun to revisit.

Bottle at home. Pours clear pale golden with a fine frothy white head. Aroma of light malts, banana, bubblegum, cloves. Taste is light sweet, floral,light spices, yeasty banana esters, wheat. Light bodied, fine frothy carb. Sweetish lightly spiced finish.
