0.5 can. Friend got me this one from Koln. It’s golden colored with light white head and mild carbonation. It’s bitter hoppy and fairly grassy. Very drinkable beer.

500ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with average frothy firm white head. Grainy aroma with grassy hop note. Light body, somewhat insipid, not much more than an allusion of grain and hop taste.

Tap (growler). Pale gold with a white head that disappears quickly. Low bead. Aroma of hay, flowers, pears, faint red berries, grass. Light-bodied. Delicate but mouthfilling. Taste has hay and light fruit and is fairly sweet. Bitterness is very discreet. Dry finish with earthy hops and some herbs and lemon. A real Kölsch in good condition is a treat here. Gluggable with sophisticated touches.

500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Pale clear gold lasting thick white head. Some light lemon yeast and metal on the aroma. In the mouth it has better lemon meringue pie type fruit. It has a creamy quality. I must admit that it does taste fresh. Expected it to be stale as kolsch has to be drunk fresh to get the nuances but this is good. Very light and agile in the mouth with a full swallow and some light lemon hop bite on the finish. Good beer. 3.5/5 Re-rate in Gilden Haus in Koln.
