We shortly macerated organic apricots in our red-brown beer, meant as a more dry and vinous version of the classical red-brown beers of Flanders. This beer was aged on Pinot Noir barrels from Burgundy for sixteen months. Bottled August 2019.

Hazy brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of big tart apricot, malt and citric notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Way nicer than the regular one. Where the base seemed to be lacking something, the apricot here fills that void, and more. Lovely sourness, woody, hint of caramel, and lots of apricot giving fruityness and balancing the tannins.

14/IX/19 - 75cl bottle @ Wanderlust (Brussels), BB: n/a - (2019-1408) Thanks to Sebletitje, Rubin77 and ElManana+1 for sharing today's beers!
Little cloudy dark amber beer, small head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, nice, pleasant, little malty, bit floral, bit spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very acidic, fruity, some tannins, citric acidity. Aftertaste: lots of apricots, nice, pretty sourish. Not sure if I'd be aple to detect apricots in a blind tasting though.
