Did we choose the name Elephant to honour the statues that guard our brewery gates, or because it's a beer you'll remember forever? Pale gold in colour, Elephant is rich in malty character, with a hint of caramel, balanced by a satisfyingly dry bitterness. Once enjoyed, never forgotten!

Bottle 0,33l. Golden colored. An ok creamy head. Strong sweet fruity aroma. Bland flavor with some fruity hints. Some bitterness in a dry finish. This beer was one of my favorites 30-40 years ago. The beer probably has not changed much. I definitely have. KI=4

330ml bottle. Bright golden body with an one-finger, bubbly white head. Malty with alcohol to the nose. Sweet taste of malt with alcohol beneath. Actually, quite mouthfilling with a hoppy touch to the ending (shared at Finn’s in TromsΓΈ, 21.10.2008).

bottle, 33cl. sweet fruity aroma. actually okay. pors clear dark gold with a small white head. flavor is sweetish, burn from alc. eggyolk. you will get used to it, but the initial impression is bad i think. [5,2,4,3,8] re-rate jul.2015. clear yellow, large offwhite head. 3 sweet aroma, maize and malts. hops are not so present, and leave a flowery sweet impression. 5 Flavor is bitter malty, some sugary sweetness, quite obvious bitterness from alc. The alcohol flavor could be covered by a bit more euro bitter hops, but is not. leaves a boozy feeling to it.. Drinkabillity is rather low. [5,3,4,3,7]

Bottle from Sondra. Slightly cloudy gold color with a small white head. Aroma is grain and grass. Medium is about medium and the carbonation is fairly vigorous. Flavor is a bit sweet, and there is almost enough grassy hop to balance. Sort of a decent malt liquor, if such a thing can be.

11.2oz bottle. Pale filtered golden color, with a fading head. Green aroma of hops and alcohol. Very Saazy Eastern-European flavor going on. The heavy malt body is well complimented by the hops. Not an IBU bomber by any means, but pretty decent for what it is. Worth trying.

Sampled at a bar in Cognac, France 9/6/08. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Sickly sweet in aroma and flavour with a warming alcohol finish. Not much pleasure given the amount of alcohol involved.

Medium offwhite fine-laced head. Golden body with light carbonation. Fruity dusty malt aroma with alcohol notes. Sweet-dry tobacco taste with alcoholic vaguely rotten fruit notes. Sharp dry cardboard and grass aftertaste with chalky notes lingers. Some alcohol heat. Deeply unpleasant. Poured out the rest. (0.33l can, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
