Our brewer Joel wanted to honour the noble style of the Hefe Weizen of our Teutonic neighbours, with this new brew now available in 33cl bottles!
WEISSE is a straw-coloured beer, which reminds us of the ripe wheat that is generously present in its recipe. It is hazy as it is rich in proteins and yeasts (“Hefe” in German). Its flavours are declined around the themes of banana and spices, and they are accentuated by a floral freshness and some citrus notes. The generous saturation and the subtle bitterness definitely make it a thirst-quencher. A spring brew to remember that the winter is only temporary…

Bottle. Thanks to myself. Pours hazy deep yellow with a small white head. Creamy. Excellent spicy yeast, wheat and esters. Dry and hoppy. Crisp and dry finish. Cool. This go under the category witbier.

Nice! De la senne meets hefeweizen. Got the creamy banana thing, but lemony hoppiness too. Nice! Bit of funk too.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 24/7/202.
Note une pointe épicée coriandre-girofle en rétro.

33cl bottle (BBF: 24JUL20) from Färm.Sainte-Catherine bio shop in Brussels. F: medium, white, not long lasting. C: straw blonde, hazy. A: malty, bit banana, spicy touch, bit yeasty, bready, orange peels. T: medium malty/wheat base, orange, bit banana, herbal hoppy, dry on the palate, spicy, medium carbonation, nice harmonic bitterness, not very for the style but not bad beer.

Pours unclear yellow, medium small white head. Smell is about equal between banana and cloves. Taste is sharp, rather bitter( especially for a weisse ) , banana and cloves, but not the creamy body i came to expect in a weisse. No real hoparoma, but certainly very real bitterness. Medium high to high carbo.
