Tap. Freebie at our digs. Light haze on a pale amber. Slim semi lacing white foam. Nose has light spice. Sweet gingery malty notes. Taste is light sweet and lightly bitter. Smooth and warming. Light bitter finish. Easy drinking at the 8%. Dunno if style is right mind.

Newly released and sampled at horeca expo 2019. It was pretty damn hard to get to know something about this beer, as the people working here disnt speak dutch, nor english. One can only wonder what the hell they hope to achieve in an exposition in Flanders, than… I'm basically guessing and glueing the bits and pieces that we were able to communicate, by saying this is an oak aged ( barrel chips, fresh oak ) aged in a Belgian strong ale. Anyway. This one pours blonde, with a small white head. Smell is very mild, bit malty. Taste is sharp, starts weak, than quickly turns more fruity, reminding of cognac or even fino sherry ( even more so as it warms up ) , white grapes, white wine in general come to mind as well. It's hard to believe this wasnt a wine / Sherry / cognac / other related barrel of some sort, but with the best of my knowledge, it should be fresh oak. By far the best beer I drank by this brewery, for what it's worth.
