Draft at BJ's, Downey, CA. Pours hazy amber with a one finger off-white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of caramel, dark fruit. Taste has a sticky caramel malt sweetness backed by significant hop bitterness. Great velvety mouthfeel. An old school impy IPA with good flavors.

I'm opening a 12 oz can and then pouring into a Belgian glass, how I'm rolling tonight. Have to point out that the label says home base is Temple, Texas. I determine an appealing gold-orange body followed by a an off-white top of creamy foam. Nice. The scent is yellow fruit heavy with some pine lurking. The taste is decent, even nice, without being great. Field, grain, a touch of nectarine, hops for sure, pine, a touch of astringency and a healthy amount of bitterness. West coast? Mostly I think. I cannot commit.

Green $2 can from chalet premier boardman. Cloudy pale. This stuff is thick, it almost pours like syrup, scary looking. The olfactory is mild but its alarmingly cloying. No head either. This feel is thicker and mouth coating on the palate. Bitter yes, but some cloying sweetness sticks to the inside of the mouth. Difficult in the middle. Yes, becomes like cough medicine after a few swigs. Oh my. As I get toward the finish, my gag reflex wants to kick in. One big fat straight up rude ass brew!

Pours a light hazy amber colour and a small off white head. Aroma's: sweetish, fruity. Retronasal: resin, sweetish, bitterish. Flavour is bitter, resinous, moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Long earthy bitter finish. Basically a stronger version of Hopstorm.

Part of a flight on 10th Dec 2019 in the BJ's in Laguna Hills. Brown to amber body, wispy head. Piney hops rule the nose and bitter taste, some malty sweetness mid-sip, but the hop bitterness returns in the finish.
