NASA’s lucky peanuts date back to the first missions sent to the moon. Six Ranger missions ended in failure, but on the seventh, roasted peanuts were passed out in the control room. The success of Ranger 7, which in July 1964 became the first U.S. space probe to successfully transmit close images of the moon's surface, made the peanuts into a tradition celebrated in Bastion of Reason!
Imperial Stout aged in Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels, then finished on roasted peanuts with Ghanaian and Ecuadorian cacao nibs.

Oh wow, the first totally convincing peanut butter stout I've had. So much peanut. Whole bunch of chocolate, salty legumes, creamy bourbon. Very nice and smooth. Rich, soft and boozy. Amazing beer, top 3 of the night.

Pitch black colour with no head. Huge aroma of peanut butter, some chocolate. Thick mouthfeel, almost oily; dark chocolate flavour, dark molasses, seemingly very salty too.
Impressive, but a bit weird.

Creamy nutty notes. Jet black with almost no head. Creamy nutty notes with a bitter dark chocolate. Nice soft finish, well done.

500mL bottle, pours black with almost no head. Aroma is intense, with loads of roasted peanuts, followed by dry cocoa, and subdued bourbon barrel character. Flavour is loaded with the roasted peanuts upfront, accentuated by bourbon barrels, light vanilla, and some cocoa. Roasted, oily, and silky mouthfeel, with a beautifully sticky finish. Almost flat carbonation, but that's totally fitting. Wonderful.

500ml bottle. Sweet heavy with peanut butter, bourbon wood, toffee oak, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. Quite tasty and balanced. Like Omnipollos Yellow Belly Sundae but much more balanced.
