This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg. [Labeled as "Lemon Cello IPA" in the US Market.]

330 ml bottle sampled April 2014. Slightly unclear orange/golden body with a small off-white head. Quite unusually aroma, some malt, chewing gum, lemon and flowers. Flavor has citric fruit, chewing gum, orange zest and moderate bitterness. Medium body and more than less just citric fruit in aftertaste. Strange, sweet, more like a novelty beer. Still fun.

Amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malts, marmalade and lemon zest. Flavour sour citrus, light sweet, lemon zest, light hops. Quite tart and bitter finish, loads of lemon zest. Quite interesting.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Pours a clear copper with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of strong, bright citrus, tropical fruits, caramel, lactose. The taste is bitter citrus, tropical hops, yuzu, lemongrass, pale malt, lactose.

Yellow-even greenish color with small white head. Aroma is lemony and hoppy, but like - really lemony! Taste is again lemony, slightly sourish, nice! Great beer, something very different.

Poured into a taster glass showing cloudy dark honey brown with very slight white foam head. The nose shows a lot lemon and dry hops (pine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple) with some big grassy tones. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. First impression shows off lemon flavors with the sharp IPA bitterness barely hiding in the background. Afterwards a slight sweetness mellows out a lot of the tartness. The finish is slightly astringent with a citric bitterness akin to grapefruit pulp. Very gentle bitterness. If I were to guess, the absolutely perfect balance of all the flavors is definitely a sign of Hill Farmstead whereas the intense dry hopping was probably Mikkeller. Definitely something out of the ordinary and worth trying at least once.

Bottle @ home, thanks to Lukaduke for sending. Clear golden Orange appearance with a cream colored head. Twangy lemon, gooey, tart, herbal, white grape aroma. Slight note of pinesol. Moderately high bitterness. Pretty strong on the booze. Some sweetness. Heavy chemical lemon flavor. Weird weird beer.

BBE 31st April 2015 - Pours clear yellowish orange with a tiny white head. Aroma of zesty lemon peel, bubblegum, citrus, tart fruits and yogurt notes. Taste is lactic sourish, hoppy and zesty with loads of citrus, lemon, hints of bubblegum and tart fruits. Finish is zesty, sour and tart with loads of fruitness and some hoppiness. Quite interesting combination, but not quite there. Lactic sourness doesn’t quite fit in, but this would be awesome with some Bretta thrown in.
