Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of strong boozy bourbon notes with some black chocolate notes and light residual sugar notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by strong booze bourbon notes with some sweet black chocolate notes and light residual sugar notes with some woody and vanilla notes also perceptible. Body is pretty full with oily texture and good carbonation with some strong alcohol notes perceptible. Enjoyable but booze notes are more dominant than expected which impedes some of the drinkability.

Power tasting at Salesforce; bottle
Black colour, small dark brown head. Tasted right after the Barrel Aged Rat Queen, same roasted malt / chocolate / roasted nuts base, moderately sweet, the bourbon is strong, and maybe thereis just a touch of vanilla.
Excellent.

500ml bottle (thx, Eric D.!) at Sales Force. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: bourbon, barrel, some dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, much more smooth than regular BBA version. Sweeter, as well, not much of vanilla. Overall: good one.

Dark chocolate and bourbon notes. Jet black with a small beige head. A bit hot and bournbon with lightly sweet chocolate note. No real vanilla

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense bourbon barrels, alcohol, a little vanilla, and some harsh roast. Flavour is boozy and harsh, with lots of harsh roasted malt, nary a trace of vanilla, heavy bourbon barrels, and harsh alcohol. Boozy, woody and harsh. I don't really get the vanilla much here. Plus it's harsher than the non-vanilla version. Despite the flaws, it's still excellent.
