Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Hangover is lifting nicely now. Pale gold. Soft haze. Bubbly, sudsy, white head. Nose has ripe citrus. Big on the fleshy orange. Some piny notes. Malts are bready and sweet. Taste is toffee sweet, with some resin bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. Feels a tad heavy and cloying. Oily bitter finish. Nice enough, but I think I’d have preferred this on keg probably.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow gold with an airy head. Dusty, farmhouse-like aroma with citrus. Soft carbonation, some biscuity malt, grapefruit. Dry, peppery finish. More like a farmhouse ale than an IPA, but nice.

Salopian Automaton 7% Bottle shared by Tim, honestly no one pegged this as an IPA.
Opaque honey gold with a sour farmhouse aroma featuring citrus plus pepper. The taste is Bretty wheat, pepper, pineapple and citrus. Good stuff.

Cask @ OT. Sweet, grainy and highly alcoholic brew with notes of grape fruit and orange cest. Not the best one I’ve had from Salopian.

On keg at Firefly, Worcester. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lime and overripe melon. Taste - more tropical with lime finish. Edging into lime marmalade. Palate - medium bodied with a big tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - tasty. Would say this was an imperial ipa just.
