Old Pals Pils is a German-style Pils(ner) that is pale gold in color, light bodied, and well-attenuated. A base of pilsner malt lays a background of grainy-sweetness and crackers, but the real player here is the hops. Multiple boil additions layer herbal and floral flavors and a soft, lingering bitterness, and a dry-hop provides a refined and "noble" aroma. Clean fermentation and a crisp finish from the German lager yeast makes it easy to reach for the next pint.

Draught, taster @MBCC 2023, Copenhagen (Denmark). 06/05/2023. [#6.450 Global - #11 South Korea - #4 Magpie Brewing Company] Very pale yellow with almost no head. Lemony grains, yeast and lemongrass. Citrus mouthfeel. Next one please!

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is floral, earthy hopspice, cereals. Taste is the same, a bit watery body, oily mouthfeel, natural carbonation. Tasty but needs a little bit more punch.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready, mildly salty with some grassy, herbal and hayish tones. Flavour is bready, grains and mild herbal tones and somewhat strange sweet tones to it.

ABV: 5.0%. ✅ Clear light to medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to light malty, pale malt, quit weak. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. pale malt, light grass - herbs, thin, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20230324]

--Canned, from Magpie, Seoul. -- Hazy pale straw colour, mid sized head. Grassy orange aroma. Dry with light to medium body and clean, crisp mouthfeel. Grass and orange on slender bready malt. Long bitter finish.
