Okay orangey head and orangey-gold body, lots of carbonation. Aroma is heavy malt surrounded by sharp hops, peach and grapefruit, leichee, sharp tropical citrus. Flavour is heavy hops tempered by barley notes which makes it more like a pumpernickel bread finish that your usual super-citrusy hop explosion IPA. So a bit of good complexity there but I’m not entirely convinced they are working well together. No notice of the heavy booze so kudos to them for that. I think this would be an acquired taste as it’s a bit of a darker double IPA than I’ve found elsewhere.

Bottled (backlog). Slightly hazy orangeish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, some wood and a bit alcohol. Also big fruitiness to it. Flavour is fruity, wooden, caramelly, toffeeish wooden and mild herbal and alcoholic notes.

330mL bottle poured into a tulip. Hazy copper and orange colour with a large white to off white head that dissipates pretty quick. Big citrus and pine aroma with some effervescence like freshly squeezed OJ. Taste is fairly well balanced, despite the heavy citrus and pine flavour this has a decent malt backbone. Booze is hidden well, interesting mouthfeel, sometimes oily and sometimes astringent.

330ml bottle from Summer Wine online. Clear orange amber colour, foamy off-white head leaving lacing and aroma of citrus & woody pine resins. Malt caramel flavour with floral orangey hops, resiny pine notes and some grapefruit bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable DIPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy off-white head. Intense, hoppy aroma, with notes of citrus and fruit, and touches of malt. Bitter, very hoppy taste, complemented by round, fruity notes and touches of citrus and yeast. Bitter and citric afetrtaste. Decent, although less sweet than what I usually associate with the style.
