Bottle at home. Aroma of dark malt, liquorice, herbal notes, syrup, candy sugar, hint of dark fruits. Flavour is sweet. A bit sticky. Not a bad ’winter ale’ at all, nicely balanced.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed en heeft een dun beige schuim. Het aroma is moutig, kruidig en wat zoet. De smaak is moutig, caramelachtig en wat kruidig.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Cinnamon and caramel in the aroma and flavor. malty sweet, spicy flavor with apple syrup. Sticky mouthfeel. Almost full bodied. Not my taste.

Sweet roasted malts, dry leaves, bitter tea, mealy dried fruits, berries, spices, light sour wood chips. Moderate sweet and bitter, with a hint of sour in the finish. About full bodied, soft carbonation.
