On tap @Sam Beer Shop (Rome). Dorata, leggermente torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note di malto, lieviti, fenolico spinto, lieve erbaceo. In bocca è dolce, monocorde, senza particolari spunti. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Belga vecchio stile senza tante pretese.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark yellow-ish to orangey golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly phenolic, fruity yeasty aroma, unspecific hints of yellow orchard fruit, malty background with a touch of speculoos. Taste is minimally sweet, biscuity malty, slightly spicy yeasty, minimally yasty fruity, hints of speculoos and apricot; minimally alcoholic finish.

Pours bright gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes skin surface. Hay aromas. Sweet caramel and hay front to back. Mild earthy pith finish.

Bottle from Craft Brewed. Pours a hazy gold with a full 2 fingers of head that dissipates to a half finger and lingers throughout. Great lacing down the glass. Herbal aromas with wet straw, wheat in a barn and some light peppercorn notes. Full body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Peppercorn, noble hops, banana and clove with hints of mineral and dried fruit. More cracked wheat on the palate. Great stuff, complex but subtle with a lingering noble hop, dry bitterness.

Draft pour at The Sovereign. Poured a slightly hazy, light yellow color with a small, medium sized white head. Aroma was light citrus, most hoppy than I would have expected, but not overly so. Light, easy to drink. Does not drink like 7%.
