Deep fruity notes, some good toffee character, alcohol in the finish. It's fine.

Taster shared with Ryan. Vintage 2023. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: berries (probably coming from the oak), American oak, some chocolate. Taste: along the same lines. Somehow no coffee detected at first. However, it finishes like coffee a coffee with milk and a bit of whiskey. Overall: weird, but quite interesting.

Poured from the tap (2023 vintage). Near black with small light beige head. Mild bourbon, coffee, touch of vanilla. Decent.

500 ml bottle, wax dipped. Pours a dark pitch black hue with a small beige head. A big woody dark fruit nose. Big sticky sweet barrel, some toffee, dark fruit, really smooth, licorice, brown sugar. Very good.

On tap. Pours black with little head. Aromas of roasted malts, vanilla, and black coffee. Flavors follow same though richer with graham cracker, a bit of coconut, and nice bourbon notes.

On tap at Wander, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is intense, with lots of booze, bourbon barrels, and subdued coffee and cocoa. Flavour is massive, with lots of bourbon barrel character upfront, followed by vanilla and cocoa. The oats dry this out a bit. Bourbon and vanilla notes on the finish. Not the most focused beer, but it's very tasty and complex.

750 mL bottle poured. Waxed bottle. Thanks to Dustin for the share! Cola black pour, with a short bubble head. Aroma comes off as boozy up front. Chocolate and bourbon. In that order. Flavor is a big and bold roast. Robust. Dusty malt. A dry late bourbon finish. Seems just as strong as it is advertised, if not more. A solid offering still. Enjoyed this.
