Think of it like a dry German interpretation of a stout or dark mild. Lighter bodied, crisp finishing, with a character of roasted barley, light munich malt nuttiness, and a hint of dark fruit and caramel.

Chocolate and some roast. Deep dark brown with a snake beige head. Soured dark malts and dark fruit.

Dark brown. The aroma has a lot of cocoa, touch of coffee on the nose. On the palate, however, it's sour. Like, just really sour. That's not what a schwarzbier should be, at all.
