Aroma of malts, light fruits and earthy hops. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. A bit thin-bodied, but not too detrimental for the overall experience.

From an old bottle, 2013, cellar find. Aged nicely! Malts, madeira and raisins. Old saison-like notes. For sure not as intended, but really nice to drink! Butcher's Tears remains a great and likeable brewery.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a dry finish.

Golden with big foamy head. Aroma and taste have some yeasty and slight dry, peppery elements. Perhaps closer to a Belgian Blond or Saison. Pleasant drink and delivers good flavour for it’s 5.5%.

Bottled from speciaalbierpakket.nl, dated 23/10/2013, large sample, served in a trappist glass. Pours a hazy orange color with a huge rocky off-white head. Aroma is quite peppery, some grassy hop, bit hay, grainy malt, slight tart. Some caramelly sweetness in taste, quite clean soft to medium bitterness. Slight sugary touch, though still dry and peppery from the yeast. Almost saisonesque.
