Bottle shared by Oakes. xNose is light vinegar, white wine, and lots of oak. Golden color, hazy, with lace. Tart and winy, with oak and honey and some vinegar. Nicely balanced.

Hazy pale blond colour. Quite aggressive acidity, good vinous character, touch of wood tannins.
Nice.

500ml bottle from the brewery at Alex's. Appearance: hazy pale golden with a weak white head. Aroma: quite complex with fruity, funky, barrel notes. Taste: funky, barrel, more on the sour side. Overall: I wish that the base doe this beer would be a saison, not a sour.

March 2021. Bottle 243. No pop upon opening. Pours flat. no head. The aroma is a bit towards the harsh vinegar, almost plastic phenols. Basically flat. Still tart, with some brett notes. But it's lost its edge - not just the off notes on the nose but without the carbonation it sits flat and heavy, and doesn't bring across any of the complexity or nuance that was present when it was fresh. Oh well. Don't mind trying to age stuff like this, but this one didn't benefit from it. 5 2 7 3 13 = 2.9 Original August 2019 rating: A touch of brett, a little pedio, pale and hazy. Bubbly head. Light brett, tartness, fresh wheaty, good body and balance. 7 4 8 4 16 = 3.9

Funky and light citrus, petrol comes through. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Funk and nice tartness with a touch of that petrol. Solid.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2019, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright stone fruits, wild yeast, and a touch of oak. Flavour reveals a nice wild yeast character, with some saison yeast, gentle acidity, and oak. Wild and complex. Very good.
