33cl Bottle, bought at the brewery. Slightly hazy deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, sticky toffee, leaves, some faint bergamot. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, hint of toast, leaves,,light-hoppy bitter finish, yeast. Medium-bodied. Ok.

Tap at de Paas. Deep amber with small white head. Spices, yoghurt, apricots, some grains (bulgur). Nice fresh taste not too sweet and light tart finish. Medium bodied with thin feel.

Strange beer, but nice. Body of various malts, gives the beer a muddy taste (in a good way) Taste of surprisingly fruity and a bit hoppy as well. Nice.

Draft at The Hague beer festival 2014. Pours hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, light vegetables and dark fruits. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ In de Wildeman. Slightly hazy dark orange to amber color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, slightly sweet. Not much to tell. Maybe due to cold serving temperatures? Could be. Decent beer though.

Taster size glass from tap @ In De Wildeman (ABT Bier vd Maand Mei 2014). Amber color, hazy. Off white head, uneven. Big caramel aroma, with additionally fruit and some herbal spiciness. Flavor is moderate bitter with a moderate caramel sweet backbone. Body is rather full for a 7% beer. Finishes with caramel malts and some herbal bitterness. Quite tasty, and I’m not a fan of Irish reds (which it is according to the ABT leaflet).

Light brown colour. Aroma has some floral hops and some caramel malts. Full and complex flavour. Has a solid, lasting hop bitterness but with smooth, fresh malt background too.
