Our version of an old world beauty - the Czech pilsner. Syncopation (5%) is hopped with 100% Saaz, fermented with a classic Pilsen yeast and then conditioned in our oak foeders as they did in the Germanic caves of old.

Pretty nice Czech pils. Big saaz and nice and crisp, cool feel. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Snappy bitter finish. Tap at brewery.

On tap at Darby’s Gastown. Slowpour. Got to say the slow pour really changed the aromas and flavors compared to the straight pour. Soft malty and sweet corn sugar instead of bitter grains. With pillowy head. Quite nice.

473mL can, pour a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out spicy notes, grassy hops, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is crisp, with spicy hops, grassy notes, and crisp crackery malt. A touch of mineraly character and perhaps a tad under-hopped, but it's crisp and nicely biting. Solid, but not quite convincing that it's Czech-authentic. Good suff.

Taster. Appearance: clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: classic pilsner hops, flowery, no wood notes. Taste: along the same lines, quite creamy and smooth. Overall: very good Pilsner.

Sweet pale malt. Light bitterness, a little something smokey. The smoke thing is a bit odd, and I would like more bitterness and cleaner, juicier malts. But Beershine loves it, so there's that.

The aroma is soft lager grains, has a clear yellow body with little head. Flavour is middling lager grains. Crisp mouthfeel I suppose. This is just a very boring lager. I mean, pilsner.

Blond colour, clean. Grassy hop aroma, mild, light rubber, delicate fruity esters. The malts are chewy, bready, that's a very good base; the hop is moderately peppery, but Saaz can give more.
Very solid, I will be back.
