500mL bottle. Pours black with minimal beige head. Plenty of bourbon barrels and roasted malts on the nose. Flavour is chocolatey, notes of dark liquorice, roasted malts, and a very nice bourbon barrel character on the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Delectable.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma has a lot of alcohol. On the palate, it’s got a lot of chocolate syrup, alcohol, some barrel accent that lends a little bit of sugar. It’s fairly sweet, lots of barrel. It’s rich but also vibrant at the same time, so really good balance despite this being fairly big.

Dark brown, almost black pour oily and without head. Aroma of dark malts, tar, molasses. Thick mouthfeel, not without carbonation, rich dark caramel and molasses flavour, sweet, mild roast, some tar, and strong alcohol feeling.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of soy sauce upfront, with subdued bourbon and a little vanilla. Flavour is quite heavy, with smoky bourbon, a little soy sauce, and medium roast. The Heaven Hill barrels are lovely here. Assertive, yet balanced and lacking any harshness. Complex, elegant. Lovely.

500ml bottle (thx, Mathieu P.!) at Josh's. Appearance: very dark brown with a weak beige head. Aroma: dark fruits with some barrel and smokiness Taste: along the same lines, very silky. Overall: great brew and I would even say awesome for QC.
