Inspired by the new wave of Belgian brewers experimenting with Pacific Northwest-Style hopping, we have combined our favourite Belgian yeast with a generous amount of hops to achieve a delicious hybrid pale ale.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold amber with a small, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of bready pale malt, Belgian yeast, clove, coriander, orange and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange, Belgian yeast, coriander, black pepper and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average to soft carbonation. Pretty solid.

Nice medium clear copper body and okay foam. Good fruity hop aroma, slight yeast, caramelly cracker. Taste is a crackery banana, soft maltiness ends refreshing with good carbonation. A little more oomph wouldn't hurt but this is a great patio beer.

Can, from Cask & Barrel. Pours a bright amber colour, with a medium head. Quite attractive. The Belgian yeast is prominent in an estery aroma that also carries just a touch of plasticy phenols. The bitterness is piney and more in line with APA norms, but the Belgian yeast maintains its character throughout. It's not the ideal yeast for an APA-type, but it does differentiate this beer, and it's doesn't not work. It's just a little bit incongruous because it doesn't seem to add anything particularly desirable. It's an interesting experiment - I guess once you think the idea you sort of have to brew it, and it seems like the brewery has nailed what they're going for and and made the best of it.

473 ml can. Pours a clear copper/amber with moderate head. Aromas of light fruit, toasted malts and light Belgian yeast. Flavors follow same with sharp Pilsner like malts and a bit of cloves. Clean

On tap at Whitetooth, pours a clear pale copper blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, some toasted malt, and fruity esters. Flavour is very estery, with sweet candied sugar, Belgian yeasty esters, and some spiciness. A bit too sweet but the yeast is used decently. Not bad.
