Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark brown and opaque with a ring of khaki head. Aroma of sweet liquorice with a little bit of smoke. Taste is sweet as well, getting notes of molasses with the liquorice. Little balance even in the finish, this is a very sweet beer. Oily body, soft carbonation. Not surebthis is a mild but man is it nice.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. The aroma is rich and fruity leading into a nice warm chewy slightly bitter rich English Ale flavour. A super beer. Mild has really moved on.
