A milkshake IPA chock-full of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries back sweetened with lactose. 190kg of raspberries, 250kg of blackberries and 250kg of blueberries, a recipe that would rattle most jam companies. Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Yup that’s triple the berries.

Poured from 473mL can. Murky purplish red with white cloudiness and off white head. Fairly mild berry, touch of citrus hops, light lactose. Very underwhelming and a bit of a messy blend.

473mL can, pours an opaque, filthy dark purple with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of lactose, with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and subdued citrus hops. Flavour is very fruity, with lots of pithy mixed berries, lactose, and citrus hops. Blended well, with the hops, fruit and lactose well-integrated. Very good.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Red, filthy, medium head. Moderate fruit character, moderate sweetness, unpleasant tannins in the finish (that's the raspberry usually). Messy drink, I don't see the purpose.

473ml can. Pours a murky red-purple with a medium, foamy, long lasting, pink head that laces nicely. Sweet fruity aroma of grapefruit, raspberry, strawberry and blackberry. Sweet fruity flavour of grapefruit, lactose, blackberry, blueberry and raspberry in a dry, tart, mild bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a slick, oily texture and average carbonation. Fun, tasty and easy to drink. Well made.

Can, Legacy. Cute that they write the berry bill five times in the description. And snuck a black cat onto the label, a follow-up to the Oatmeal Stout, which is one of the best labels going these days. Murky pinkish-purpley sort of colour. The head doesn't look great, kind of a foamy scum sort of look, like a frothy purple puddle. Strong berry aroma, I'm thinking the raspberries are dominant here, but blackberry imparts a little something, too. Full body, fairly sweet. Lots of juicy berries, a touch of berry tartness in the finish. Really not a lot of bitterness - no IPA as such, but that's par for the course in a fruited milkshake. Ok, maybe a touch of bitterness in the finish. But let's just call it a solid fruit beer and move on. Well made. I like it.
