Draught@Oluthuone Panimomestari. Coca cola colour with a big slightly off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, some citrus, mild wood as well as some floral tones. Flavour is citrus, liquorice, some malty tones with also quite a bit of bitterness to it. Actually quite an OK CDA.

Bottle, kindly donated by japppp. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with moderate citrus hops.Taste, burned coffee, licorice, dark malt, followed by nice citrus hops. Less coffee would help increase drinkability of this beer.

Aroma is like this weird cross between chocolate mint and canned jalapeno. Something a bit off. On the palate, though, it has a lot of rich, piney bitterness. Big hops. A fair amount of chocolate malt, but really a harsh bitter hop.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a medium tan / light brown head. Aroma is unusual, with roasted malt, earthy hops, and gingerbready, floral notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy, floral hops, harsh roasted malt, and some coriander-like spiciness. Very spicy, pleasantly harsh, and quite bitter, but it works. Solid.

Tasting at Erik's
Black colour. Metallic aroma, and roasted malt. Extreme roasted malt character, very harsh on the palate. I remember the scandinavians being fond of strong roasty character, and indeed this is largely unbalanced. Unpleasant.

(Keg at Oluthuone Panimomestari, 20181207) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, pine and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, pine, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A pleasant hoppy brew with burnt notes and rather low ABV.
