Good, dense, snowwhite head, leaving lace over orange--golden, clear beer. Lightly toasted malts, bit of spicy hops, very much in the style of herbes German Pilsner. Bitter, very hoppy and dry flavours; very clean taste. Dry-spicy hopcharacter, excellent. Very dry, light carbonation, light body. Very good Ge-style Pilsner.Earlier Rating: 9/6/2010 Total Score: 3.3Medium, dense, just yellowish head over faintly veiled yellow-golden beer. Mainly malty nose, with the faint hoppy aroma Germans call "feinherb"; dry cookies, dry (pale) malts. Taste mainly the same, with faint spicy hops and lightly toasted malts. Bit burning MF, carbonation more in the mouth than visible, light slickness. More than decent Pilsener, very much in the German style.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some herbs, caramel and mild floral and fruity notes. Flavour is being quite similar with some slight toffee and mild grassy notes in the finish as well. Pleasantly balanced. Quite strongly hopped.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pale golden color, slightly hazy. White head, leaving one ring of foam. Aroma’s of grainy malt, grassy hops and some fruit. Slightly malty sweet flavor with beginning bitterness. Finishes with a nice bitterness. A bit less fruit and more malt would make this a perfect pilsner.Earlier Rating: 9/28/2011 Total Score: 3.7Tap @ In De Wildeman. Yellow, hazy color, white uneven head. Aroma’s of grass, grain, fruit, malt, some bitterness. Flavor is ever so slightly sweet with upcoming bitterness. Finishes with a firm bitterness. If all pilsner beer were like this I’d drink much more of it (so actually a good thing it’s not).

33cl bottle from Emelisse biershop.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Slightly sweet grainy malty aroma with hints of biscuits and a tinge of flowery hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Pale malt-character with grainy spots and a chalky touch, accompanied by herbal hops towards the dry and moderately bitter finish. Not bad, perhaps (stylewise) the water is a too hard. 22.I.12

A slightly cloudy beer with a weak and white head. Aroma is malty, nicely aromatic, some fruits and also some sweetness. Taste is malty, some grass and butter, hint of aromatic fruitness as aroma, medium bitterness, that could be even more. Medium- bodied, nice carbonation, slightly rough to drink. Nice beer with great aromatic, especially in the aroma.

330ml bottle. Cloudy yellow with small white head. Unspecific, mild pilsener. Boring. Emelisse can do much better.

Bottle: Pale golden, hazy, big and stable white creamy head, grainy-grassy nose with a tinge of turpentine and alcohol; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied as well, relatively soft; hops and alcohol in the dry and quite soft bitter finish. Not convincing, tastes as if the used ale-yeast........
