On tap at Cafe Sara. It's a black to dark brown beer, rather oily and still pour, with no head. The aroma is lightly boozy, with roasted malts, coffee, caramel sauce and some molasses hints. Dark chocolate too. It's full-bodied, oily and smooth on the palate, with a low but nice carbonation level. Some alcohol warmth too. The flavor has cocoa notes, brown sugar, licorice hints, some molasses and Bourbon-ish booze, as well as roasted malts, coffee and heavy caramel sauce. Quite sweet. Lasting finish. A silky and delicious one indeed. 190608

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is a bit of (plastic' almost. Roasty, thick, tad sweet. Taste is full, sweet, very roasty body. Sugary. more than decent, even though it's a bit sweet-on-sweet.

(Keg at Mikkeller Helsinki, 20210514) The beer poured oily and black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood and sweetness. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, sweetness, more sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was excessively sweet and mildly bitter. Initially a pleasant burnt brew with barrel notes but the excessive sweetness at the finish ruined it.

An Icelandic pastry-esque stout! Pretty sweet, plenty of donut. Good amount of whiskey/bourbon, boozy, heavy and rich. Sweet vanilla, lots of chocolate, and nicely smooth. Not as in your face as some others, but definitely desserty.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of vineus grape, oak, chocolate, licorice, smoke and cognac. Taste has smooth licorice, smoke, earthy vanilla, kleinar, chocolate, booze, cognac and a boozy somewhat grapey finish. Very nice.
