375 c&c from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent dark orange with a slight, transient smear for a head. Aroma of tart mixed fruits. Med body or so. Flavor is tart/sour with slightly musty wood and moderate Brett notes. A beginner for those who aspire to BFM mouth renders. Fruit seems a blend of peach/apricot/citrus. Wood persists. Brett gets firmer, but not making me think of Orval. Good stuff.

(Bottle, 0.375 l, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20200606) The beer poured amber and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tartness, vineousness, ripe fruits and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were tartness, vineousness, red wine, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste was vineous, tart and bitter. A brew where the barrel effects were too strong.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber, small off white head, some lacing. Aroma is citra hop, tropical, grapefruit, hints of Belgian spice, vinous, oak, toffee. Flavor is light tart, light funk, loads of citra, some sweetness, Belgian spice. Not much Brett, which is a shame. Lots of barrel and almost a Flanders red feel to it. Medium body, lowish carbonation. Major step down from the original.
