Hazy yellow body with modest foam. Big chalky hop aroma, tangy grapefruit, orange notes. Taste is more orange, sweet with a slight chalky finish. Not bad but subdued and a little too wet.

Poured from 473mL can. Murky yellow with small white head. Chalky and dank dominates this beer, touch of cannabis and juice, alcohol fairly hidden. Overly chalky.

Can, Legacy. Opaque, paleish. Not much head. The hops on the nose come across with a little pineapple, the yeast is heavy, and there's not much malt. On the palate, there's a fair bit of bitterness, and a lot of yeastiness. That really muddles up the palate, to the point where there's no real malt character. The bitterness comes across harsh and thin. The alcohol is quite evident, especially in the finish, and there's nowhere near enough malt to balance it. Lots of hop, but not as much attention to detail as I'd like to see - and not what the best brewers at this style put into their work. Malt matters.

New rating: Can, pours an opaque milky yellow with a small white head. Nose is quite dank, with lots of pot-like hops, some chalk, and stone fruit pith. Flavour is very dank in the hop department, with harsh bitterness, pithy notes and meta dank. The yeastiness/chalkiness is a bit much but the dankness is nice. Much better than the first time I tried this. 7 3 7 3 14 Old rating: Can at Weathered, pours an opaque milky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very yeasty, with lots of chalky yeast, dry hops, and cereal notes. Flavour has cereal notes, chalky yeast, and citrus hops. Way too chalky and yeasty. The worse of this series. Not good. 5 2 5 2 10

Taster at Weathered. Appearence: cloudy blonde Aroma: tropical fruits with some slight grassy and meaty notes Taste: similar. It looks like still too green and should be better in in 3-4 weeks Body: medium to high Overall: not bad now but should be much better later

2021-01-21, cans from the brewery, between Dec 18 and Jan 21, 8-4-8-4-17=41
The first batch was not impressive, this new one is back on regular Superflux standards for IIPAs, bold, juicy.
2019-01-09, draught at Strathcona, Vancouver, 8-3-6-1-13=31
Murky blond with no head. The aroma is very dank, with some apricot jam. It seems a bit more chewy, chalky than other DI, the hopping is juicy, citrusy, orange, light tropical, medium dank; but the bitterness has a high vegetable component, chicory, unpleasant.
Sure, I will try again from a can in a couple of weeks, but this one is not pleasant, today.
