The colour is near black. Nice dark ale, sweet, dark caramel, not enough malt depth, lower roast than the average (good with me), nutty, quite strong alcohol, some alcohol and whiskey, slight herbal bitterness in the finish. Also, light apple aroma.
Good, not exceptional.

Smooth, quite prominent roasted malt character, , but also mild sweetness for the balance; little cardboard, light acidity from the dark malts. Very good.

Black colour. Aroma of dark chocolate and light smoke. Good body strength, but with mild sweetness and lean mouthfeel, it seems Easy to drink; roasted malt and dark chocolate upfront, light smoke and a kiss of liquorice; sexy warming alcohol.
Excellent.

Bottle at Weathered, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oats, moderate roast and light cocoa. Flavour is similar, with oats, medium roasted malt, and light vanilla. Tastes like a nice, big oatmeal stout. Very good.
