Tasting at Oakes' Manor, bottle; 11% ABV
Cloudy light amber colour. Nice aroma, candied fuit and a bit flowery. Good body strength, sweet, good malt, light belgian esters, very light aniseed, and medoiium bourbon.
Very good.

The aroma is pretty huge booor-bon with light peachy-pear esters and hints at some malt stickiness, too. Complex and balanced...gorgeous bourbon overlaid on a base of sticky toffee pudding. Wow.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours an opaque dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon upfront, with little else except maybe some candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with intense candied sugar, Belgian yeast and bourbon barrels. The cloying sweetness eventually gives way to the bourbon barrels which really shine. Complex and wonderfully designed. Excellent.
