Solo is a delicate farmhouse ale fermented in a single French oak barrel and bottled completely unadorned. Conditioned in the bottle for seven months, the beer is lightly carbonated and deceptively simple - a pure expression of our house yeast cultures at work in one barrel at a time.

Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet, Grez Doiceau, Belgium at home Attenkirchen, Saturday 18th April 2020, on day 31 of CORVID-19 enforced lockdown, we are cooking White Bean, Grilled Pepper and Mozzarella burgers with a Fresh Tomato Relish also doing Smoked Carrot and Carroway Dip with Crispbread we're listening to Fonda Mentalism - Mind on Reverse (EP) btw it's yet another glorious day, but we did see our first rain for about 2-3 weeks! Pours hazy gold with a white head. Subtle is the name of the game here, the dry hoppiness is noticeable, it's fresh and dry, easy drinking, simple and uncomplicated, Brett also subtle. A light touch of lemon, good beer.

Hazy, yellow-tan. Definite brett and pedio on the nose, with a clean pale malt. The pale malt base is decent, the brett C stands out. It has a light body, a nice character. Light and drinkable.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, bottle
Cloudy pale blond colour with almost no head. Strong aroma, mixed bag, there is some funk, but also very strong doughy/cheesy smell; some manure, diapers; controversial. Lean mouthfeel, soft, not too dry, with mild funk, light astringency, and very light lemon trace.

Funky and weird with tropical notes. Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Soured, yogurt and funky. Solid.

500ml bottle at Josh's. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is fruity with barrel and diapers (shitty, literally) notes. Taste is similar. It's ok.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice funky farmhouse character, with tart citrus, and oak. Flavour is lightly tart, with oak, farmhouse yeast, and gentle funk. Only gently tart, with a funky finish. Solid.
