Blue wax bottle thanks to Jules. Pours black with small beige head. The aroma is strong roast, vanilla bean, coconut. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, boozy, very good.

pitch black color. Semi sweet but roasted malts balance things out nicely. Very reminiscent of a bigger version of their coffee porter, but with vanilla, coconut and bourbon. The bourbon is fairly subdued. Nice balance. Medium full body. Excellent

500ml from The Gull @ 🏡. Appearance: very dark brown with a daro beige head. Aroma: sweet cold coffee, bourbon, dome fruity notes. Taste: same. Overall: pretty good.

2019 Vintage. 500 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate bubbly head that settles quickly. Aromas of stale coffee, light bourbon, and roasted malts. Maybe some cream. Flavors follow with the addition of coconuts which liven things up. Hot, acidic, and unbalanced in the finish. Maybe not aging or stored well.

Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Brown-black color with a medium khaki head that recedes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, coffee, coocnut and malt. Medium body with flavors of bourbon, roast coffee, coconut and malt. The finish is roasty with a coconut and bourbon aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Draft. Black beer with a brown head. Roast and coffee aroma. Caramel and toffee flavor with bourbon and coffee. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel and toffee linger with bourbon, coffee, and roast.

Tap at Takanoya. Big coffee nose, dark chocolate, light coconut, bourbon. Pitch black, low lacy head. Nice coffee and bourbon flavor, chocolaty, nutty, coconuts are not over the top. Sweet but not overly so and not too strong. Nice.

Dark brown, rich chocolate, light coffee on the nose. On the palate, it's syrupy, with a nice rich chocolate, coconut, taste. Good.

Dark brown colour; the head is fizzy, noisy, and with little retention. Definitively coffee in the nose, but well blended with the malt and chocolate aroma, and bourbon (vanilla, light spirit). Full bodied, the sweetness is moderate; dominant chocolate, with mild coconut tones, vanilla, and luckily coffee doesn't come to mind initially; just a hint of spirit, but overall the alcohol is quite well hidden; slightly thinner than expected in the finish, therefore also a bit short.

Black with tan head. The coffee is prominent in the aroma. Lean body, strong coconut, some chocolate. Salty finish with soy sauce.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out complex bourbon barrels and coffee upfront, with light coconut. Flavour is very layered, with lots of coconut, bourbon barrels, and dark roasted coffee. Lovely coconut, coffee and barrel in perfect harmony. Excellent.
