750 thanks to Dan. Pours a deep ruby hue with a medium off-white head. A big nose of berries and vanilla. The flavor is nice: a initial burst of berries, especially strawberry. Caramel, vanilla, toffee, some warming. A dark take on the quad in some senses. Good. Big.

Purchased at Hop City in Atlanta, GA; enjoyed on the last night of my recent work trip, anxiously awaiting the trip back home. When I saw this stuff I knew it was going to straight up knock me out, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Appearance is a dark cloudy amber/gold with a thin off white head that rims around the glass. Aroma of vanilla, plum, booze, bourbon, Belgian yeast, sweetness, pure evil. Taste almost knocked me out upon first sip. Bourbon notes come out in full force but do not dominate the flavor, which is an amalgamation of vanilla, cherry/prunes, figs, which is just delicious. This one was straight up impressive...I’ve been in a rough patch when it comes to drinking good brews, and this one may have brought my focus back to good beers, which is not good news for my stomach, kidneys, or my waist line.

750 ml corked caged bottle. Ruby red, brown color. Small beige head. Sharp strong alcohol nose. Woody vanilla and dried fruits in aroma. Bittersweet medicinal malt flavor upfront. Tangy malt in midtaste, dryish hops in finish. This is a young quad that could stand some aging.

Bomber. Red/brown liquid with small off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, wood, vanilla, almond, nuts, sweet malt and unrefined sugars. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter and has notes of sweet malt, fruit and sugars. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Quite nice and balanced. The oak doesn’t take over too much.

Bottle shared with Steve and co, courtesy of Steve. Thanks! Dark orangish brown appearance with a brown head. Very rich candy sugar, caramel, dark fruity, plum aroma. Very rich, cloying, candy sugar, dark toasty malty, dark fruity flavor. Pretty good but it is very rich and sugary.

Pours clear dark amber color with tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, oak and alcohol. Similar flavors. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.

A hazed dark amber brown ale with a very thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light oxidation. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with candy sugar, light curacao, coriander, dark fruits, alcohol warmth, still solid.

Bottle. Pours reddish brown. Nose/taste of toffee, prune, raisin, fig, dried fruits, pear skin, vanilla and wet wood. Strong alcohol finish, but not overpowering. Medium body.

Thanks to JaBier for sharing a bottle. This brew pours a clear reddish-amber color with a medium foamy light tan head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit and oak. Rich body with flavors of oaky bourbon, raisins, vanilla and caramel. The finish is slightly boozy with lingering notes of toffee and caramel. Pretty good overall.
