Bottle: Poured a pink color ale with a spritzy bubbly head with limited retention and some minor lacing notes. Taste is a mix of funky ester notes with some vinous notes, some camerise and sour and oak notes. Taste is also a complex mix of sour notes with some camerise and sour and oak notes with some light residual honey notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Complex braggot with some nice flavors.

(750ml 2021 bottle @ Sardines, Quebec City, June 18/22) Noted as an amphora maceration on the bottle, not sure if batch 1 was. Clear bright red pour with a thin whitish head and no lace. Notes of quite vinous camerise up front, roundly fruity forest berry with some earthy tannin, floral honey quite present too as expected, touch waxy, lightly to moderately acidic despite the honey, floral notes somewhat restrained, a little herbal component though, funk (leather and barnyard) nicely present, dry and lightly tart finish with soft tannin, leather, a little herbal bitters, touch of alcohol warmth showing up. Medium-bodied, oily, quite softly carbonated. Sounds like it was quite superior to batch 1, which I've not had. Very cool braggot, lovely balance as usual with Auval.

Tasting at Matt's; corked bottle
Hazy pale oxidized red colour. The aroma is very light. The mouthfeel is light and dry, there is very little flavour, hardly any honey, and very light fruit. Light vinolus touch.
Too timid, clean drink, but really not even trying to be anything.

Pale pinkish colour, and without haze. On the nose, there's a soft berry character and a touch of wood. On the palate, this is dry, with just a touch of honey, and a bit of woody notes. A faint bit of alcohol in the finish.

500mL bottle, pours a clear pale pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out light berry character, very subdued honey, and light oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with rustic saison yeast, some oak, light honey and some berries. Rustic and assertive. Good stuff. Carbonation is quite high
